It took me four tries, but I finally was able to get a review of the new Southside Raw Bar in Garden City. This is a complety redone location that used to house several different bars, most recently Madisons and is adjacent to Greg's Cabana. All of the previous places were kinda dumpy, but they really put some money into the place with a ton of TV's and a brand new centrally located bar. The weird part that part of the building now has a tobacco store, but a wall doesn't separate the two; there is a netting between the two making it kind of a weird setting. The prices are pretty low at Southside with many of the drink prices at a cheap amount. The Happy Hour provides a 50 cent discount on those already low prices making for a great deal. The huge deal is easily the 35 cent wings all day, which is a bit confusing since they call themselves a "Raw Bar" so you'd think they'd have a special on seafood, but I'll take it. Southside Raw Bar is is yet another newly revamped spot on the south end is worth the visit just to see the improvements they've done to the place.
