The location isn't exactly ideal especially in the dark as you would never know there was a bar tucked a little bit off Hwy 17 since there isn't much signage, but I think that's how they like it as it is very much a locals bar. Actually everything about the Sandy Monkey screams locals bar with it's very cheap prices and a very limited menu. They are a very popular spot during bike week and have been for many years. They also have a pretty good NTN trivia following that will get a top 20 location ranking on any given night. The Happy Hour doesn't give me much to write aboout, it's seventy five cents off domestic bottles... that's it, granted that puts it at a great price, but there is nothing else. If you can find the Sandy Monkey it's a nice little spot with some friendly bartenders and you never know, it may become your new Garden City local spot.
