Review

The local music scene along the Grand Strand is not as large as other areas in the country. There are the music halls like House of Blues and some of the bigger theaters that have the national acts, but the local scene is lacking. One place that has been trying to turn that around is Rockin Hard Saloon in Murrells Inlet. This bar used to be in Georgetown along Business 17, but has relocated to the Business 17 section of Horry county near the Inlet Square Mall. It has a strong local following during the day and on into the evening, but it has several bands throughout the week at night as the real highlight. The regular prices are quite good making the Happy Hour prices that much better with cheap 1 buck PBRs & $2 house liquors. Rockin Hard Saloon is a good locals bar, but it also fills the need as a great spot for local live music along the south strand.
