I do not get to Pawleys Island as much as I should considering I live in North Myrtle Beach and work in Conway, but I had heard a few good things about Pastaria 811. It would not be my first time going to that location since I had the previouse tenant (Bove) on the website a few years back. The layout is very much the same as Bove was which includes a small bar space. I can see that this small bar area could get crowded very quickly during Happy Hour though since domestics, house liquor and house wine are all half off. It is really hard to top that deal, but also included is some free food. It is usually your basic small bites like meatballs and such and the bartender will go in the back and bring you out a plateful which I think is the way to go with free food to avoid scavengers piling up free grub. The atmosphere at Pastaria 811 seems to be dominated more by the restaurant side since the bar is so small, but with half price drinks and free food there isn't much more you could ask for in a Happy Hour.
