Melons is a sports bar that is set in the heart of Myrtle Beach. It used to be a Hooters knockoff(Hooters..... Melons...... Get it???? Har Har) with the bartenders and waitresses wearing chaps and such for their outfits. When I stopped in it seems like they have scrapped that idea. They also have made some nice improvements to the interior since I had been there last. There are numerous TVs in various locations within the bar and they carry several sports packages. A problem the bar may present is the parking; there are only about 8 spots out front and the place is pretty big inside. I'm not sure if there is another lot elsewhere but beware during busy times. The prices are good at Melons and I will never complain at 4.95 pitchers. They have everyones basic favorites on tap so all should be pleased. There are no glaring weaknesses with Melons so it is a good sports bar to stop by for a brew and some pool while watching the game.
