Review

Throught the years of doing many reviews and seeing many places come and go I tend to see trends. If a place is lucky enough to survive a few years along the Grand Strand you will notice the change in price and the change in quality over time and I think I am starting to see that at King Street Grille at the Market Common and now in Murrlels Inlet. The Inlet location is the newest of the two along the Grand Strand as there are several more down in the Charleston area. The prices and Happy Hour are the same at both locations, but the atmosphere at each is differnt with the Inlet location having a popular bar area that overlooks the inlet. The food quality and food Happy Hour menu has changed over time. Portion sizes have gone down while the prices have gone up, along with a bump up in Happy Hour prices. I still applaud King Street for having discounted apps, but the $7 to $9 prices could be seen as regular prices elsewhere. The great deal that has stayed the same is on Wednesdays and getting the 1/2 off burger deal that runs all day. The drink deals are good with most being a dollar off in addition to some nice all day and daily specials. I understand why establishments have to make adjustments, but it's hard not to compare a place of how it used to be. All of that said both King Street Grille locations are fun places as each have their own unique qualities.
