It is hard to argue with how good the Happy Hour at The Island Bar in Surfside Beach. The entire menu is half off, so there is nothing to complain about on the food side of things. The fact that it is good bar food just helps its status as one of the better bars on the south end. The drink specials aren't all half off, but they are still pretty good since they are already starting from an already low regular price.I can't remember the last time I went into Island Bar and it didn't have a decent sized crowd. The very strong local base comes out for sporting events, since they have all the sports packages, not to mention the cpacity crowds they get late at night when they have several bands coming through town. Island Bar has another location down in Pawleys Island and both are great places woth checking out especially when traffic backs up along the bypass.
