It is tucked away a little bit off Hwy 501 surrounded by doctors buildings and offices. Since this bar is so hidden there were mostly locals in the bar for Happy Hour and at night time it is all college kids. Every time I go to the Coastal Ale House, the prices seem to creep up. That will never score high points for me or anyone else for that matter. The setting is nice enough with an expansive bar inside and a patio for when the weather is nice or if the bar is too crowded which can be the case on a Friday Happy Hour. The many choices of drafts will also always get on my good side. This is definitely a good Happy Hour spot if you are stuck in 501 traffic and just want to relax somewhere while the traffic clears and is also a popular spot among the Coastal Carolina students later on in the evening.
