California Dreaming

If you grew up in South Carolina you should be familiar with California Dreaming as there several locations spread out throughout the south. California Dreaming did not used to have a Happy Hour until recently when they opened up their new location near Barefoot Landing in Myrtle Beach. I have been to both Grand Strand locations and they have identical Happy Hours so I didn't feel the need to do 2 separate reviews. California Dreaming has an ok Happy Hour with good deals on their drinks, but the best deal is the $1.95 for house liquor all the time. If you've already been to a California Dreaming you already know the food is very good, but a bit on the expensive side. The atmosphere suffers as well because this is a restaurant first and foremost with the bar being an afterthought at times, so it isn't exactly a locals hangout. California Dreaming is worth going to for Happy Hour, mainly in the case of the place being packed and you want to wait for a table and get a quick cheap drink.
