The area of south Myrtle Beach is lacking a lot of dining options. Once Angelo's a little further south into a new location it opened up its old space for another restaurant where R&R lasted only a couple of months. In its place is a new steakhouse called Angus Steakhouse & Seafood. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the large amount of taxidermy throughout the restaurant. In a room next to the bar area there are 2 bears, a buffalo head, several Indian statues and a cougar on the wall. The bar area is small and only has about 8 seats as the bar is not the emphasis of the place. What is the emphasis is the food as Angus offers up some good food from a menu that has many of the steakhouse staples. The happy hour is simple as all alcohol is a buck off and Monday through Friday there will be an app or two that will be priced at half off. Only having Happy Hour until 6pm on weekdays is tough as well, not leaving much time to get there after work. Angus Steakhouse is a great new restaurant in south Myrtle Beach that may not have the best Happy Hour, but it is still one of a kind and a good place to get a steak.
